For over four decades Okefenokee Joe delivered the message “Earth Day Every Day” praising all of God’s Creations and the natural world around us. In appreciation for all of God’s Creation it is said that, “Seeing is believing,” and my earthly, no shouldered ambassadors of goodwill animals would emphatically demonstrate that everything I was saying about them was true. And people would see it with their own eyes.
‘Nature’s Rules of Conduct’ are rules or natural laws to be taught faithfully and devotedly to follow every living thing in the Okefenokee swamp. The Golden Rule of Nature is what the earth made like it is and keeps it like it so that humans can live upon it. It’s a plan created centuries ago by a greater power, far more intelligent and more; important than the entire human race. It speaks mountains and oceans of wisdom and understanding with humble, simple words - “If You Don’t Need It, Leave It.”
A powerful lesson in tolerance towards humankind is to show Strength of Character by never breaking ‘Nature’s Rules of Conduct.’ By obeying the simple, but powerful message that all God’s Creation, even those of different species, practice tolerance towards each other. Therefore, there are ways for the human race to safely coexist with all of God’s Creations in the natural world, including wildlife. Since wildlife doesn’t watch out for humans, humankind must work twice as hard and do the job of watching out for wildlife. The human race must be SWAMPWISE and always remember to watch out for wildlife. Realizing more than ever that although “Streetwise” is cool; “Swampwise” is awesome!
